BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The movie “Trapped” is set to hit theaters soon. The film deals with the topic of human trafficking, specifically sex trafficking.
The movie’s crew has invited the media to watch special screenings ahead of the film’s public release date. Director Ejaz Khan said he hopes those who watch the pre-screening will spread the word about the movie and its message.
“Put yourself in that uncomfortable position of going through that for about an hour and 40 minutes, and then go speak to your friends and family, that this is happening, it’s happening here, in America. Let’s help our young,” Khan said.
He said the movie is based on the real experiences of girls from across the U.S. that he interviewed for the film.
The film releases publicly on Jan. 31 in theaters, and then on streaming platforms later.
